Geekstravaganza 2017

Geekstravaganza 2017

Photoshoot and Community Meet and Greet - March 18, 2017

What is Geekstravaganza? It's a day of networking, photo sessions, and fun hosted by Unconventional Photography.

We were working on our event schedule for 2017, and an idea struck us, "Why wait for someone else's event? Why not host a photography event ourselves?"

As the idea developed, we were inspired by a conversation with the folks at 8-Bit Coffee, "Why not expand the event? Why not make it a community building event as well?"

And thus, Geekstravaganza was born. A place for the various creative groups in the Louisville/Southern Indiana area to meet Unconventional and get photos, but also to meet each other, build networks, and cross promote?

So come out, meet other cosplayers, costume and prop makers, makeup artists, and other fellow creative types from around the region, and get some great photos as well!

If you just wish to network, simply show up any time during the event. If you wish to get a photo taken, you have a couple of options.

  1. Walk-in quick photos are welcome any time we can fit you in, and we have dedicated walk-in welcome hours from 11am-noon and 4-5pm.
  2. If you wish to guarantee a dedicated photo shoot instead of a few walk-in shots, please book a time slot.

The $30 cost to book a photo session in advance covers the 20 minute photoshoot, at the end of which you will receive your choice of one of the following:

  • 2x 8x10 photo prints
  • 1x high-resolution digital photo
  • 4x social media resolution digital photos

For digital photos, a small fee for a USB drive will be charged at time of delivery. Additional prints or digitals are available for additional cost at the event. In addition, prints and digitals will remain for sale on our website after the event. Additional photo editing services are available at additional cost, for delivery after the event.

PLEASE read and abide by all event and location policies as spelled out on the event location page.
